A Gift to the Spirit of the Land

An observation comes to mind of wonderful social connection, whereupon arriving at a crystal clear perched lake on K’Gari, an island off the east Coast of Australia, the class positioned themselves equidistantly around the lake in readiness for a sit spot with quiet artistic time. They then placed their books and pencils at the water’s edge and proceeded to walk into the lake up to neck height and together said our morning verse across the waters. A gift to the spirit of the island.
