For those seeking an experience of color and the portal of the artist, whilst working with indications towards visual art given by Rudolf Steiner.

Lawfulness of Color

The world of two dimensions worked with by the painter is lawful. Color is lawful, as is line, surface and composition. Each color on it’s own and when side-by-side with another, speaks a different tone into our inner being. When we engage with painting we may develop a sensitivity to this conversation. We may find a place from which to paint that is between Expressionism as an avenue to artistically portray to the outer world our inner experiences, and Impressionism that reflects what streams towards us from the the outer world. For the painter this is a portal of nourishment inspired by moving between the polarity of self and other.
