Children do not just experience our words, they experience who we are in those words. Children have the capacity to understand or to be deeply impressed upon, by what lives behind the appearance of things.

Anthroposophy is full of wisdom and knowledge, and we can take that information into our heads and even speak that information to the other, but if we have not been changed or moved by knowing it, then what we are doing is just passing on information. Whereas if the wisdom has lived with us in such a way that our inner life is slightly different because of it, then when we speak those words, we are not only speaking information, we are speaking out the soul processes that live in us, and that in turn has a deep effect on the other; therefore, it is important to understand that it is not what you know but who you are as an adult with children.

The lesson includes some foundations to helping these fundamentals of education as well as inner exercises for taking hold of aspects of our being so that we have more of a sovereignty and, in a sense, a freedom in our own interior life.
